In this introductory module we will explore who you are AND who you want to be as a leader. One of the foundational principles of the LEADS framework is the notion that we cannot lead others to places we have not yet been ourselves. We will examine what are we modeling, its impact and our opportunity to grow ourselves in service of others. This will be accomplished by digging into both “who we are being as a leader” and the resultant “what we are doing as a leader”.
Some of the areas we will cover in this module include the qualities of leaders we admire, Emotional Intelligence, our core values, unconscious bias and assumptions, reflection and journaling and developing ourselves from a strengths-based perspective.

This module explores the essential elements and importance of employee engagement. We will explore what true engagement looks like, why it is important and what difference high engagement makes in the workplace.
Some of the areas we will drill down into include difficult conversations, coaching skills, high performance teamwork, feedback, empowerment and creating a culture by design.

In this module we will explore the value and impact of clearly articulating your organization’s vision, strategy and goals. How do we help create and support them in a way that reflects our organization’s core purpose, engages others, and ultimately produces meaningful outcomes for our internal and external stakeholders? This module also offers practical steps to help participants develop a personal vision. Effective decision-making and the importance of practical ways of assessing and evaluating results are also key features of this module.

The key focus of this module is “working better together, with others”. In this webinar we explore the continuum that at one end is Independence, and at the other is Coalition-building. This module provides important context to help understand what coalitions, networks and strategic partnerships are and the potential power and value they hold. We will explore the work involved in establishing formal and informal relationships with other partners, the maintenance of them, and the ongoing evaluation of their current relevance. We will also explore the relationship between customer service and the client experience.

In this module we will explore what a “system” is, how it is created, how it works, and how it needs to be constantly adapting to the current environment. We will explore the difference between analytical and systems thinking, and how effective leaders match their problem-solving approaches with the appropriate type of thinking. We will introduce systems thinking tools to help you gain an appreciation and awareness of the complex systems in which you are leading and effectively navigate current and future challenges.
