LEADS Lite Webinar Series

LEADS LITE is a live, virtual webinar series that delivers powerful leadership development for health leaders like you, right where you are. It is a unique program developed by and for healthcare leaders. It introduces you to the LEADS leadership framework in a way that provides immediate practical learning and applications between webinars, with an opportunity to debrief learning at subsequent webinars.

Module Description

  • Introduction to the LEADS in a Caring Environment Leadership Framework
  • Understanding YOUR Leadership Identity

LEADS Capabilities for this Domain:

  • Self-motivated leaders:
    • Develop themselves
    • Are self-aware
    • Demonstrate character
    • Manage themselves

In this introductory module we will explore who you are AND who you want to be as a leader. One of the foundational principles of the LEADS framework is the notion that we cannot lead others to places we have not yet been ourselves. We will examine what are we modeling, its impact and our opportunity to grow ourselves in service of others. This will be accomplished by digging into both “who we are being as a leader” and the resultant “what we are doing as a leader”.

Some of the areas we will cover in this module include the qualities of leaders we admire, Emotional Intelligence, our core values, unconscious bias and assumptions, reflection and journaling and developing ourselves from a strengths-based perspective.

This dynamic  series is a practical introduction to the five domains and associated capabilities of the LEADS framework that reflects the latest thinking on leadership-related topics. This series requires no previous knowledge of LEADS and can function as a stand-alone leadership development program, or as a key component of a multi-faceted curriculum. During the series, participants will be provided with an opportunity to:

  • Learn how to apply the LEADS leadership framework to individuals’ roles and organization structures and cultures.
  • An opportunity to reflect on current leadership-related topics and challenges including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), the notion of empathy and resilience as it relates to Leadership in Times of Crisis, and Psychological Safety.
  • Walk away with immediately usable concrete concepts and tools.
  • Understand and apply key leadership skills, behaviours, abilities, and knowledge in real work situations by learning from a facilitator AND each other!

This program is designed to introduce you to the LEADS In A Caring Environment leadership framework. Although it will not cover all aspects of each of the five domains, it will build an understanding of the framework and the opportunity for application. it will drill down on a few key areas in each module so that you walk away with meaningful, personal leadership development and concrete concepts/tools that can be applied immediately.

There will be some take away work to be done between each module, and while this will not require a lot of your time, it will significantly enhance your learning and development.
